FACETS (Friends of Allegan County Equestrian Trail System)
Starting at Silver Creek County Park, on the corner of 134th and 38th St. near Hamilton, MI., you will ride a well-marked scenic trail into the Allegan State Game Area. This 3-hour loop will have a turn-off back to camp for those who wish to ride a shorter distance.
Overnight camping and reservation information are available by going to www.allegancounty.org/parks. This is extra. Park staff will be on duty for assistance. Day parking is available. Please no dogs on the trail.
Included in the minimum donation of $20 for an individual rider and $30 for a family is the Park’s Day Riding Fee (compliments of the park), a raffle ticket, (one per individual and 2 for a family) and your lunch.
Both FACETS and Wings of Hope Hospice greatly appreciate all donations supporting their great organizations. For those who wish to make more than the minimum donation we would like to enter you into our Grand Prize Drawings. A donation of $100 gets you one ticket into these drawings and for each additional $50 you will receive another ticket, no limit. You must be present to win and you may only win once.
Special Appreciation gifts will be given to the 3 people with the largest donations.
Prizes will be given to the youngest boy and girl rider completing the ride along with the oldest rider and the furthest distanced traveled to the park.
T-shirts will be given away while supplies last.
Schedule of Events
Ride – Saturday April 17, starting at 10:00 a.m. – rain or shine
Early Registration – Friday night 7-8 p.m.
Registration – Saturday 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Liability Form – this must be filled out and signed by each rider.
Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Trail Markers – No admittance on the 1st loop after 12:00 noon, the 2nd loop must be completed by 4:00 p.m. Markers will be taken down.
Lunch – served from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Presentations – will be next to sign-up area at 4:00 p.m.
