May 16, 2009. Registration at 8 am, judging from 9 am to 2 pm.
Walking Horse Assoc of Michigan is sponsoring the 7th annual Judged trail ride at Silver Creek Horseman's Camp. A marked trail of approx 7 miles will contain at least 10 obstacles for you to navigate testing your horsemanship skills, trail safety knowledge as well as attitude and willingness of horse. Points awarded at each obstacle and the highest point earners will receive cash prizes. Lunch will be provided afterwards. Camping is available - first come first serve. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the park for maintanance of equine campsites and trails.
