URGENT: Right to Ride I-69/I-75 Corridor Town Hall Meeting

Senator John Gleason, (D-Flushing- District 27) has asked Back Country Horsemen of Michigan Pigeon River and Beyond, to organize a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday evening, May 27, 2009 at 6:30 pm.
The meeting will be held at Enchanted Acres Farm, 5347 Grand Blanc Road, Swartz Creek, MI. PLEASE bring a chair to sit on!
Senator Gleason says that he has heard from only a few horsemen and women on the issue of Right to Ride legislation House Bill 4610 and Senate Bill 578. He wants to bring awareness to Lansing on this issue that it is a state-wide issue not just Northern Michigan. This legislation has the potential to open up state land along the I-69/ I-75 corridors, that has been closed to equestrians.
Senator Gleason will be inviting area Representatives and Senators to hear what equestrians have to say about trail riding and what their concerns are. He is very supportive of the efforts that Back Country Horsemen of Michigan have taken thus far.
We need to see 80 - 120 people at this meeting. Bring friends who love the outdoors as well as horseback riders. 4H clubs are encouraged to attend because the pending legislation is to reopen AND PRESERVE right to ride on public land for all generations.
